Oregon State Board of Trustees to meet July 8

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting virtually via Zoom July 8 to consider approving a 10-year business forecast, a new student living center and a bond issuance for the student living center on the Corvallis campus.

The board is scheduled to meet from 1 to 2:10 p.m. via Zoom. The board’s Academic Strategies Committee is set to meet from 2:10 to 2:45 p.m., also via Zoom.

A record 8,000-plus students to graduate from Oregon State University on June 14

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University will graduate a record 8,011 students during its university-wide commencement ceremony Saturday, June 14, at Reser Stadium.

More than 4,300 students are expected to participate in the ceremony that will honor the university’s 156th class. The event is free to attend, open to the public and held rain or shine.

$3.5 billion in Oregon State economic impact builds regional economy

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University research is a significant contributor to the state’s economy, providing $797.5 million in value and 3,300 jobs annually, according to an economic impact report released today by the university.

“For more than 150 years, OSU has created paths to opportunity, pursued answers to some of our most pressing questions and supported a thriving world,” said Oregon State President Jayathi Murthy.

Roy Haggerty named provost and executive vice president at Oregon State University

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Roy Haggerty, a longtime higher education administrator with strong ties to Oregon State University, has been named the university’s next provost and executive vice president.

Haggerty has served as executive vice president and provost at Louisiana State University since 2022 and previously spent 26 years at Oregon State as a faculty member and leader, including as dean of the College of Science, interim dean of the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences and associate vice president of research.

Oregon State Board of Trustees to meet May 7-9

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet May 7-9 and consider approving the fiscal year 2026 university operating budget.


The board is scheduled to meet from 9:15 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. May 9 in the Memorial Union Horizon Room. Board committees are scheduled to meet from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 8 in the Horizon Room. The board will have a joint meeting with the OSU Foundation Board of Trustees from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 7 to hear a presentation on OSU Assist mobile crisis response service.

Oregon State Board of Trustees approve 2025-26 tuition rates

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees on Friday approved tuition rates and student fees for the 2025-26 school year.

The average undergraduate tuition and fee increase is 4.9% for students at Oregon State’s Corvallis campus and OSU-Cascades in Bend. Continuing students will see a 4.8% increase, and rates for new students will increase 5.3%.

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet March 7 and 14 and consider approving tuition and student fee rates for the 2025-26 academic year.

The board is scheduled to meet from 9:30 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. March 14 in the Memorial Union Horizon Room. Board committees are scheduled to meet virtually from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. March 7.

On March 14, the board will also consider acquisition of the Tualatin Mountain Forest and hear a legislative update.

Corvallis tech hub receives $45 million to grow manufacturing, commercialization of microfluidics 

CORVALLIS, Ore. – A Corvallis-centered technology consortium will receive $45 million to develop, scale and manufacture microfluidics technologies critical for artificial intelligence computing, manufacturing of advanced semiconductors and new approaches to disease research and treatment.
