Oregon State Board of Trustees to meet March 7 and 14

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet March 7 and 14 and consider approving tuition and student fee rates for the 2025-26 academic year.

The board is scheduled to meet from 9:30 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. March 14 in the Memorial Union Horizon Room. Board committees are scheduled to meet virtually from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. March 7.

On March 14, the board will also consider acquisition of the Tualatin Mountain Forest and hear a legislative update.

On March 7, the Finance and Administrative Committee will consider authorizing the design and development of modernizations to the Sinnhuber Aquatic Research Laboratory, a 17,000-square-foot zebrafish aquatic toxicology facility, and improvements to Dixon Recreation Center.

Committees will also hear updates on academic programs; research; enrollment management and financial aid; information technology; audit, risk and compliance; and the Division of Finance and Administration’s alignment with the university’s strategic plan.

At the end of the meeting on March 14, the board will hold two executive sessions.

One executive session will be held pursuant to (1) ORS 192.660(2)(e) to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions, and (2) ORS 192.660(2)(f) to consider information or records that are exempt from public disclosure on the basis that they are protected by attorney-client privilege(ORS 192.355(9)(a) and ORS 40.225).

The second executive session will be held pursuant to (1) ORS 192.660(2)(h) to consult with legal counsel concerning the legal rights and duties of Oregon State University with regard to current litigation and litigation likely to be filed, and (2) ORS 192.660(2)(f) to consider information that is exempt from public disclosure on the basis that it is protected attorney by attorney-client privilege (ORS 192.355(9)(a) and ORS 40.225).

The public comment period for the March 14 meeting of the full board is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. This is a change. The public comment was previously held at the beginning of board meetings.

There will also be a public comment period before the board votes on any action item listed on the full board agenda.
