Oregon State Board of Trustees to meet remotely Aug. 25 to consider capital projects, hear updates

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 2 p.m. remotely via Zoom Friday, Aug. 25, to consider next steps for two capital projects and hear updates on university athletics and the Elliott State Research Forest.

The board will consider approving a budget and advancing to the construction phase an innovation district on the OSU-Cascades campus in Bend and approving an increased budget and advancing to the construction phase the Kelley District Utility Plant on the Corvallis campus. The board also will hear an update to the university firearms policy to reflect recent changes in state law, while not changing the basic rules around firearms on campus.

The meeting will be held remotely via Zoom webinar and is open to the public. The webinar link and instructions for providing public comment in writing or virtually during a testimony period before the board votes on each action item are located on the board’s website here. The meeting agenda and materials will be posted to the same site as they are available.
