Oregon State University Board of Trustees to meet March 12 and 13

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet March 12 and 13 to consider approving tuition and fee rates for the next school year and a 10-year capital forecast. 

Board committees will meet from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 12 and the full board is scheduled to meet from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. March 13. All meetings will take place in the Memorial Union Horizon Room.

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet Oct. 22 and 23 and consider the annual assessment of the president and amendments to the OSU investment policy.

The board is scheduled to meet from 9:15 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. Oct. 23 in the Memorial Union Horizon Room. Board committees are scheduled to meet from 9 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Horizon Room.

Oregon State Board of Trustees’ committee to meet to consider the appointment of chief executive of audit, risk and compliance

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University’s Board of Trustees will hold a special virtual meeting of its Executive, Audit and Governance Committee at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 10 on Zoom to consider the appointment of the university’s next chief executive of audit, risk and compliance.

The candidate under consideration for appointment will be introduced publicly at the meeting. If appointed, the candidate will succeed Interim Chief Executive of Audit, Risk and Compliance Julee Otter.

Oregon State University research enterprise tops $400M for second straight year

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Despite a federal funding landscape that underwent rapid change, Oregon State University eclipsed the $400 million mark in research expenditures for the second consecutive year in fiscal year 2025 while advancing knowledge in areas ranging from energy solutions and precision medicine to environmental resilience, critical minerals, robotics and artificial intelligence.

Oregon State Board of Trustees to meet July 8

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting virtually via Zoom July 8 to consider approving a 10-year business forecast, a new student living center and a bond issuance for the student living center on the Corvallis campus.

The board is scheduled to meet from 1 to 2:10 p.m. via Zoom. The board’s Academic Strategies Committee is set to meet from 2:10 to 2:45 p.m., also via Zoom.

A record 8,000-plus students to graduate from Oregon State University on June 14

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University will graduate a record 8,011 students during its university-wide commencement ceremony Saturday, June 14, at Reser Stadium.

More than 4,300 students are expected to participate in the ceremony that will honor the university’s 156th class. The event is free to attend, open to the public and held rain or shine.

$3.5 billion in Oregon State economic impact builds regional economy

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University research is a significant contributor to the state’s economy, providing $797.5 million in value and 3,300 jobs annually, according to an economic impact report released today by the university.

“For more than 150 years, OSU has created paths to opportunity, pursued answers to some of our most pressing questions and supported a thriving world,” said Oregon State President Jayathi Murthy.

Roy Haggerty named provost and executive vice president at Oregon State University

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Roy Haggerty, a longtime higher education administrator with strong ties to Oregon State University, has been named the university’s next provost and executive vice president.

Haggerty has served as executive vice president and provost at Louisiana State University since 2022 and previously spent 26 years at Oregon State as a faculty member and leader, including as dean of the College of Science, interim dean of the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences and associate vice president of research.
