Oregon State University Board of Trustees to meet May 7 and 8

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet May 7 and 8 and consider approving the fiscal year 2027 operating budget and advancing the Student Health and Recreation Center at OSU-Cascades to the design development phase.

Board committees will meet beginning at 9 a.m. May 7 and the full board will meet starting at 9:15 a.m. May 8. All meetings will take place in the Memorial Union Horizon Room.

Board committees will meet on May 7:

  • The Executive, Audit and Governance Committee will meet at 9 a.m. and hear a report from the Office of Audit, Risk and Compliance.
  • The Executive, Audit and Governance Committee and Finance and Administration Committee will hold a joint meeting at 9:45 to hear an audit report.
  • The Finance and Administration Committee will meet at 10:30 and consider approving the fiscal year 2027 budget; a 10-year business forecast; advancing the $40 million Student Health and Recreation Center at OSU-Cascades to the design phase; advancing to the construction phase a $44 million campus development and land remediation project; and amendments to the OSU investment policy. The committee will also discuss the university’s Administrative Modernization Program.
  • The Academic Strategies Committee will meet at 2:30 and hear a briefing on student life and success.

On May 8, the full board will also hear a legislative update and a briefing on the university’s Strategic Resource Renewal program.

The board will also have a joint meeting with the OSU Foundation Board beginning at 3:30 p.m. May 6. The public can view this meeting on Zoom.

The joint meeting of the OSU Board of Trustees and the OSU Foundation Board can be attended by Zoom. Meeting agendas and materials are posted as they become available on the board’s website.

The public comment period for the May 8 meeting of the full board is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. There will also be a public comment period before the board votes on action items listed on the full board agenda. Public comment can be made in person, via Zoom or provided in writing at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting to [email protected].
