Oregon State Board of Trustees to meet Jan. 16 and 17

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet Jan. 16 and 17 and discuss a preliminary budget and tuition scenarios for the 2026 fiscal year.

The board is scheduled to meet from 9:15 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. Jan 17 in the Memorial Union Horizon Room. Board committees are scheduled to meet from 8 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Jan 16 in the Horizon Room.

On Jan. 16, board committees will:

• Discuss the preliminary fiscal year 2026 budget and tuition scenarios.
• Consider approval of phase III of the land remediation and development project at OSU-Cascades in Bend.
• Hear briefings on research and innovation and internationalization and global engagement and a housing planning update.
• Consider approval of two new Ecampus degree programs: a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration and a master’s degree in wood innovation for sustainability.

On Jan. 17, the board will consider approval of a maintenance project that will extend the life of Richardson Hall’s chiller system, along with aged mechanical, fire and other systems and significantly contribute to OSU’s carbon reduction goals.

At the end of the meeting on Jan. 17, the board will hold an executive session pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(e) to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions. The public comment period for the Jan. 17 meeting of the full board is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. This is a change. The public comment was previously held at the beginning of board meetings.

There will also be a public comment period before the board votes on any action item listed on the full board agenda.
