CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet May 7-9 and consider approving the fiscal year 2026 university operating budget.
The board is scheduled to meet from 9:15 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. May 9 in the Memorial Union Horizon Room. Board committees are scheduled to meet from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 8 in the Horizon Room. The board will have a joint meeting with the OSU Foundation Board of Trustees from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 7 to hear a presentation on OSU Assist mobile crisis response service.
On May 9, the board will also consider approving a project to improve Dixon Recreation Center and hear an update on the federal landscape.
On May 8, board committees will consider approving a 680-bed, 186,000-square-foot student housing building on the Corvallis campus next to Cascades Hall.
Committees will also hear updates on athletics risk management, student life and success, student athletes and the university’s Administrative Modernization Program, which will implement new university technology systems, data practices and policies to increase organizational agility and eventually result in cost savings.
At the end of the meeting on May 9, the board will hold an executive session pursuant to (1) ORS 192.660(2)(h) to consult with legal counsel concerning the legal rights and duties of Oregon State University with regard to current litigation and litigation likely to be filed, and (2) ORS 192.660(2)(f) to consider information that is exempt from public disclosure on the basis that it is protected attorney by attorney-client privilege (ORS 192.355(9)(a) and ORS 40.225).
