OSU to host "Kaleidoscope of Colleges, Cultures"

CORVALLIS - Oregon State University will host a "Kaleidoscope of Colleges and Cultures" on Saturday, Jan. 18, to give university-bound students a chance to experience the academic and cultural atmosphere of the OSU campus.

While the event is targeted toward prospective students of color, all activities are free and open to any community college student or high school junior or senior considering enrollment at OSU.

Many school counseling and agency offices also have information. Presentations will highlight the university's academic colleges and their diversity. Other sessions will include seminars focusing on financial aid, admission requirements and support services, as well as leadership and internship opportunities for students.

Resources such as OSU's Minority Education Office, as well as campus cultural organizations and events will be highlighted and there will be opportunities to learn from the experiences of OSU faculty and students of color.
