OSU Jazz Ensemble to perform at OSU Alumni Center

CORVALLIS - The OSU Jazz Ensemble, directed by David Hoffman, will perform a program of jazz standards on Thursday, June 6, at the CH2M-HILL Alumni Center on the Oregon State University campus. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m.

Soloists include Miles Thompson and Erik Nelson on trumpet, Mike "Slide" Buehler and Jennifer Munson on trombone, Misha Mayers, Matt Urabe and Adam Peterson on saxophone, and Erik Helzer on piano.

Included on the program are "Come Fly With Me" and "Down for the Count" as performed by the Count Basie Orchestra, "Greasy Sack Blues" as performed by Woody Herman and his Thundering Herd," "A Foggy Day" as performed by the Stan Kenton Orchestra, "Uno Mas" by Paul Lopez, "What a Wonderful World" arranged by Phil Matteson, and others.

Tickets are $5 and are available at the door; students are admitted free with ID.
