Ballinger receives national IT award

Andrea Ballinger, vice provost for information and technology and chief information officer for Oregon State University, has been recognized with the 2022 Info-Tech CIO Award in the Growth Leader category. The CIO Awards program is a unique, data-driven awards program that honors top IT leaders who have demonstrated exceptional value for their organization.

As one of the winners in the Growth Leader category, Ballinger has achieved one of the highest percentage increases in satisfaction scores when comparing her 2022 CIO Business Vision results to her previous year’s report.

“This is truly a team award,” Ballinger said. “It measures how we have moved the needle towards our strategic goals. I am very excited for OSU to be seen this way.”

The awards were announced Nov. 15.
