Scientists Say Caution Prudent, as 200 Countries Agree on Ocean Fertilization Moratorium
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The recent agreement by nearly 200 countries to halt plans for fertilizing the world’s oceans to combat global warming is prudent until more research is done, say scientists from Oregon State University who have conducted experiments with the technique.

OSU's Hatfield Marine Science Center to Host SeaFest Celebration June 28
NEWPORT, Ore. – Oregon State University’s Hatfield Marine Science Center will host its annual SeaFest celebration on Saturday, June 28, when visitors to the Newport research and education facility will have the opportunity to pilot a remotely operated vehicle, meet a giant Pacific octopus, or tour one of OSU’s research vessels.
