OSU Research Funding Grows By $25 Million, $75 Million Over Past Five Years
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University scholars earned more than $231 million in external research funding in 2007-08, a near 11 percent increase over the previous fiscal year. The $25 million jump continued an upward trend in OSU research funding, which has grown by some $75 million over the past five years.

Tax Incentive Program Funds Six Oregon State Research Projects

More Can Be Done to Combat Childhood Obesity, Researcher Says
CORVALLIS, Ore. – School officials and parents concerned about childhood obesity should look to national guidelines that recommend 60 minutes of exercise per day, according to public health officials. A new report issued this week showed that adult obesity rates rose in 37 states, and all states except Colorado now report obesity rates higher than 20 percent.
